Local manifesto preparation
 
Gavin Newton will be hosting a discussion to prepare our local manifesto for the May elections. This will be at 212 Barnet Wood Lane from 7.30 pm on Tuesday 22nd November. We will contribute wine, beer and snacks, all you have to do is contribute that brilliant idea you have about how we can improve Epsom and Ewell for our community. To structure the discussion, we will try and spend about 10 – 15 minutes on the following six areas:
 

1. The local plan 
2. Environment (waste, recycling, renewable energy)
3. Housing and planning
4. Leisure and recreation 
5. Finance
6. Police/Crime

 The aim is to come up with a practical Conservative local policy idea for each area giving us 10 – 12 for the manifesto.  Remember this is about improving and strengthening our local community not the national picture, so we are very interested in your great idea about litter, less so in your equally great idea about reducing the national debt.
