Local Conservatives have criticised the Residents Association Borough Council for failing to plan properly for mobile phone masts in the area. Local campaigner George Bushati said: “People use mobile phones all the time, so masts are needed. But the Borough simply isn't planning for them. It should be working with the companies to find the best sites. Instead it is standing back while inappropriate proposals that affect local residents come forward. it's not good enough.”
