The Conservative team in Epsom and Ewell are fighting against local Council plans to meet our housing needs by allowing the construction of tower blocks in the area. Epsom and Ewell Borough Council has encouraged developers to bring forward plans for tall buildings to meet its local housing need.

County Councillor Tina Mountain, who has also been fighting against the Borough’s decision to allow some green belt development is launching a petition, together with Councillor Bernie Muir and local campaigners Emma Ware and Stephen Pontin, to get Epsom and Ewell Borough to set height limits for new developments in the area. Local MP Chris Grayling has put forward an alternative plan to meet local housing needs by remodelling the Kiln Lane and Longmead industrial estates as a modern urban village with a mix of offices and flats in a well-designed environment. “We need to make it possible for more younger people to live and work in the area.
