The local elections marked a sad moment for the Association with Tina Mountain’s time as County Councillor coming to an end. Tina decided not to stand again and instead to enjoy a well-earned retirement. She did a great job for her division and previously as Leader of our small group on the Borough Council. She will be much missed and we will not be letting her disappear forever.
However good news followed quickly afterwards with the news that Tina was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list. It’s a highly well deserved recognition of her time in local Government and her work for the Party – but also for all the work she has also done for charitable organisations. We are all looking forward to seeing the pictures when she goes to the Palace.
Well done Tina and thank you.
